There is a 5 kilometer-long line and drivers are waiting for more than 2 days, local authorities told the Bulgarian National Radio. Traffic via the village of Kardam has become more intense after Romania banned vehicles over 7.5 tons from passing through the Durankulak border checkpoint. There is busy outbound lorry traffic at the Danube Bridge 2 near Vidin.

Outbound car traffic at Malko Tarnovo checkpoint at the Bulgaria-Turkiye border is also busy, the Border Police said.
