There are grounds to proceed to a real exploratory drilling in one of the deposits in the Bulgarian aquatory of the Black Sea, with a potential of 5 billion cubic meters of gas per year, Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Rumen Radev said for bTV.
Asked whether Bulgargaz would initiate an action against Gazprom over the suspension of gas supplies in 2022, Minister Radev said that the company was currently working on the issue and various options were being considered. Minister Rumen Radev also commented that part of the equipment for the Belene nuclear power plant could also be used in Kuzloduy NPP.
