Karlovo: The heart of the celebrations of the 186th anniversary of the birth of Vasil Levski

The town of Karlovo, the birthplace of Vasil Levski, is the centre of the celebrations marking the 186th anniversary of the birth of the Bulgarian Apostle of Freedom. 

Shortly after 10 a.m. the participants in the national tourist march from Pleven "In the footsteps of the Apostle" will be welcomed in Karlovo. By tradition, in the evening the flag of the Karlovo Revolutionary Committee will be taken out of the Vasil Levski Museum and carried in a procession to Vasil Levski Square. 

At 9 p.m., a solemn ceremony will be held in front of the monument of the fighter for the freedom of Bulgaria. The President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Rumen Radev will receive the honorary formation of representative units of the Bulgarian Army.
