Vladimir Zografski wins first place at FIS Courchevel ski jumping

Bulgaria's Vladimir Zografski finished first in the summer ski jumping FIS Grand Prix in Courchevel (France). The only Bulgarian competitor in the elite of this sport collected 262.6 points and achieved the most prestigious result in his career among men. 


31-year-old Zografski led the ranking after the first attempt with 132.5 meters and 120.2 points. In his second jump, he scored 130.5 points for another 142.4 points. 

Switzerland's Gregor Deschwanden finished second and Austria's Marco Woergoetter came third.

On Saturday, the Bulgarian finished second in the first start in Courchevel, being overtaken only by Deschwanden. Thus, in the Grand Prix overall ranking Zografski and Deschwanden are now leading together with 180 points each. 

The next starts are on August 5 and 6 in Szczyrk - Poland.
