"Bansko Jazz Festival" - one of the most iconic jazz forums in the country - will have its 26th consecutive edition from 5 to 12 August.

The festival program seems to suit the tastes of all jazz fans, offering from classic to contemporary jazz. Concert venues will feature a variety of artists who will perform on outdoor stages in different parts of the mountain town.

Throughout the day, jazz lovers can choose between the Young Talent Stage, Jazz Academy, masterclasses and workshops with world-class artists. In the evenings, on the main stage in the centre of town, there will be shows by both international (Frank Gambali and his all-star orchestra - Australia, Ari Erev Trio - Israel and many others from different countries and continents) and local artists. Among them, next to the established names such as those of Camellia Todorova, JP3, Miroslava Katsarova and others, there will also be new ones, such as the PostBalkanTon formation

The formation's five musicians (Zariya Kantardzhieva - vocals, Aleks Nushev - bass and music producer, Svetoslav Milanov - piano and arrangement, Ivan Yordanov - saxophone and Ivan Tsenov - drums) are all united by their love for swing, but also for old Bulgarian pop and rock music. This is how their versions of all-time favourite Bulgarian songs were born - energizing, danceable, filled with good vibes

In 2022, they released their first album "Shturche" (Cricket), named after a Lili Ivanova's 1982 hit with music by Naiden Andreev and lyrics by Damyan Damyanov.

In today's Song of the Day, we present their rendition of the song.

And here is the original song, performed by Lili Ivanova.
