100 chefs to participate in Banat's delights festival in the village of Asenovo

The gastronomy festival has become a tradition for the village in the Nikopol region

The village of Asenovo, Nikopol region, is preparing for the festival "Banat gastronomical delights - the traditions of my village" to be held on August 12, BTA reports. The traditional gathering brings together people who preserve and protect authentic folklore and traditional dishes. 
More than 200 participants have already signed up to take part. Around 100 of them are chefs who will show off their mastery of preparing traditional foods, while those who have signed up for the 'Culinary Inspiration' competition are challenged to present a dish in the shape of a rabbit or made with rabbit meat, as according to the Chinese horoscope 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit. 

There will also be a competition for the titles of Master of Banat dishes and Master of Banat bashibozuk.

Folklore ensembles from different villages of the country are also part of the festival programme.
