The government will notify Lukoil of the termination of the contract granting a concession of the Port of Rosenets – part of the Burgas port of public transport which is of national significance, the press service of the Council of Ministers has announced.
The cabinet’s decision comes after PM Nikolay Denkov stated, for the BNR, that the withdrawal of the concession could be delayed if the Constitutional Court decides to consider the substance of President Rumen Radev’s claim against the amendment to the law.
President Rumen Radev referred the "overhasty" termination of Lukoil’s concession of Port Rosenets to the Constitutional Court, with the motive that decisions in the sphere of energy should be based on the need of reliability and an uninterrupted raw materials supply, and of guaranteeing prices will be affordable for citizens and for industry.
