On September 5, Berkovitsa Brass Band and the Municipality of Berkovitsa invite you to the 7th Northwestern Festival of Brass Music - BDM FEST. The town of Berkovitsa gathers fans of fast beats for yet another year. Different formations will take part in the festival, including: Zaedno Brass Band, Mont Music, Brass Band Sandanski, Zdravets Brass Band, and Yordan Yonchev - Gamzatsa and Berkovitsa Brass Band, etc.

The festival presents the long-standing local traditions in brass music and contributes to the development of the Municipality of Berkovitsa as a destination for cultural tourism. BDM FEST is part of the festive programme of Berkovitsa Town Festival, which takes place from September 4 to 9.

Founded in 1902, Berkovitsa Brass Band is one of the oldest orchestras in Bulgaria. The band’s rich music repertoire includes overtures, marches, waltzes, polkas, mazurkas, arrangements of classical music and folklore. Berkovitsa Brass Band is a major participant in Lili Ivanova's music hit "Winds", as well as in numerous joint performances with other popular artists.

The piece “Neka Se Veselim/ Let’s Make Merry” is part of the band’s music repertoire. The title is about the most important thing for the musicians - continuous, Balkan-style fun.
