An industrial park will be established in Sliven on the territory of the former Barshen Airport, stretching over nearly 667 acres.

This project, which is one of the largest industrial development projects in Bulgaria, has been entered in the Register of Industrial Parks by decision of the Minister of Economy and Industry Bogdan Bogdanov. It thus becomes part of the national investment policy and has opportunities to attract investors, the minister said.

The foundations of the Industrial Park in Sliven were laid in 2019 and went through several stages over the years until the documentation was finalized and the project was given the green light, BNR's correspondent in Sliven Stoyan Radev reported.
