A new educational and cultural complex will be built in Sofia, the Organization of Jews in Bulgaria “Shalom” announced.
The new building which is to be situated at the junction of Sofia's Tsar Simeon and Dimitar Petkov streets will bring community organizations, Ronald Lauder School and Gan Balagan Kindergarten under one roof. Over 600 children and young people will study there.
A modern STEM center is expected to be built. It will enable the use of high technologies during the educational process.
The complex will also house one of the largest libraries in the capital city as well as concert halls and event venues.
In October, students from the future complex will organize an afforestation campaign.
The construction of the complex is expected to be launched by Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, US Ambassador Kenneth Merten, Vazrazhdane District Mayor Savina Savova, Shalom Chairman Prof. Alexander Oscar.
