NRA lifts seizure on Bozhkov's shares in companies worth over 25 million euros

The National Revenue Agency has lifted the seizure of shares worth 49.6 million leva (25.3 million euros) in companies owned by gambling tycoon Vasil Bozhkov, who was placed under house arrest, in exchange for a bail of half a million leva (256 thousand euros). 

Distraint has been imposed on 30 companies - among them is Agro Capital 2009 EOOD with a capital of 28.6 million euros, of which 22.9 million euros are seized. The cancellation of the seizures is based on an audit proceeding of the businessman and a finding by the NRA that no liabilities to the budget have been established. 

However, the capital of most of the companies remains seized by the Anti-Corruption Commission because of the criminal case against Vasil
