People outside Sofia have a clearer idea whom they will vote for in the local elections

Almost a month before the local elections, 54% of the surveyed residents of Sofia do not have a favourite candidate for mayor of Sofia. 43% have already decided who they will vote for in the largest Bulgarian city.

In the country, according to a representative survey by Alpha Research conducted for BNT, 64 percent of the respondents have already chosen who they will support. A third of those living outside the capital are still not sure who they will vote for in the elections for mayors and municipal councilors.

A little over 60 percent of the respondents believe that the counting of votes by machine is reliable. 27% are of the opposite opinion and fear manipulation of the vote.
