14% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day, 2 Covid-related deaths

305 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 2,230 tests performed in the country in the past day, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 14% of the tests returned positive result.

The number of people being treated in hospital is 343, of them 26 are in intensive care. 54 is the number of new hospital admissions. There are 3,475 active cases of coronavirus infection.

The new Omicron variant is characterized by severe headache, cough, fever and fatigue, Chief State Health Inspector Associate Professor Dr. Angel Kunchev said for BNT. In his words, the current variants of the coronavirus are spreading rapidly, but do not lead to total pressure on the health system.
