The Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, does not want to have ministers in the cabinet of rotation, said DPS MP Delyan Peevski in response to a statement made by the leader of GERB Boyko Borissov who said earlier today: “If the DPS have people capable of doing the job better than the current cabinet ministers, why not nominate them to the cabinet?

In a comment on the criticism of the amendments to the Constitution levelled by the prosecutor’s office, the Supreme Judicial Council and the Presidency, Delyan Peevski stated that there will always be people who will not be pleased when reforms are being carried through in the interest of the people, and added that the majority will vote for the best proposal.

Delyan Peevski went on to comment the fact that Defence Minister Todor Tagarev urged parliament to approve the purchase of Stryker armoured vehicles before the local election.

“If he is demanding something he should hand in his resignation today, right now. He can submit a proposal, cabinet ministers cannot demand anything,” Delyan Peevksi said.
