"I categorically condemn Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel and the violence against innocent Israeli citizens", Bulgaria's Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said in a statement, as quoted by the government press service.

'' I express solidarity with the Israeli people and my thoughts go to the victims of these attacks. I condemn terrorism in all its forms", Premier Denkov said. On Saturday morning, Hamas launched hundreds of missiles at Israel. The Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu said his country ''is at war''. At least 40 people were killed and more than 740 were wounded in the surprise attack.

According to the Bulgarian Embassy in Israel, no Bulgarians were reported injured during the missile attack.

''Bulgaria unequivocally condemns the terrorist attacks on the State of Israel this morning, which killed and wounded many innocent citizens. We express our strong support and solidarity with Israel at this difficult moment'', President Rumen Radev wrote on the social network X.
