In 2023, the European Day for Organ Donation and Transplantation is celebrated on 7 October. The motto of this year’s initiative is ‘'Your present is their future’'. It aims to raise public awareness about the meaning and importance of donation and transplantation as an opportunity to save lives. As a sign of solidarity, the facades of iconic buildings in nineteen Bulgarian municipalities will be illuminated in green light (the official color of organ donation). One of these buildings is the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
