The Netherlands wants more information from the European Commission and calls for a mission to find out how the rule of law is implemented in Bulgaria, before deciding whether to support the country’s accession to Schengen, the kingdom's migration minister Eric van der Burg has told BNR.
"We still have to wait for information from the Commission. It is the Commission that must give us the correct information about the rule of law, more precisely about its implementation and monitoring. We also insist on a fact-finding mission. Then we would be able to make a decision," the minister said.
