With regard to the spread of hate speech and calls for radical actions motivated by religion and ethnicity on social media, the Public Prosecutor's Office states that it will firmly exercise its powers to ensure public order and security.

All incitements to radical action and violence or the organisation of unauthorised demonstrations are in violation of the Constitution and the law, and perpetrators will be held criminally liable for preaching religious hatred and propaganda for war, the institution stresses.

Mass gatherings that would give rise to calls for violence and provide grounds for terrorist acts and war crimes would not be allowed, the announcement further states.
