Rumen Radev: The ruling coalition is putting on an ugly political theater

It was obvious that the cabinet would not fall because the personal interests that bind the ruling coalition are much stronger than any imitation of reforms and priorities, President Rumen Radev commented on yesterday's vote of no confidence.

According to him, the problem is that the governing parties have two agendas - the official one is implemented with dubious effectiveness because it is conditioned by the hidden one, namely "to control the cadre levers of power and to nurture our companies".
"The most essential part in this hidden agenda is the final preservation of the coalition's integrity by forgiving one another's old sins and whitewashing them," the president added. In his words, the failed vote of no confidence in the cabinet means that "we continue to watch, if not enjoy, this ugly political theatre that repels all people of sound mind."
