Annual inflation in Bulgaria slowed to 6.3% in September from a level of 7.7% a month earlier, according to the National Statistical Institute. This has been the lowest reported inflation in this country since October 2021. In the period from the beginning of the year to September inflation stood at 3.6 percent.

The monthly deflation is mainly due to price reductions in the tourism sector by more than 10%, as well as in the spheres of entertainment and culture by 1.9 percent. The price of food products rose by 0.5% and the rise of fuel prices continues. Diesel fuel rose by 6.2% and the price of gasoline rose 4.5%. The price of gas supply marked a 4-percent rise. The costs for education have also increased.
