The swing vote will decide the outcome of the first round of the local election in Sofia: Mediana

Ten days before the local elections, the margin between Vassil Terziev (24.8%), Vanya Grigorova (22.2%) and Anton Hekimyan (21.4%) is 20,000 votes, a survey by Mediana polling agency shows. The survey was conducted October 10-17 with own funds.

The candidates of We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria/Save Sofia (Vassil Terziev), the Bulgarian Socialist Party (Vanya Grigorova) and GERB (Anton Hekimyan) for mayor of Sofia are almost “neck and neck” with a minimum margin, Mediana says. A run-off for mayor of the capital city is a certainty. Almost 120,000 voters, or a quarter of the expected voters have not made up their minds. This means that even the 4th – Deyan Nikolov, and the 5th – Vili Lilkov could have a shot at the run-off. The undecided could turn the election around, the polling agency says.
