Firefighters continue to combat the fire near the villages of Ponor, Bezden and Vasilovtsi in the region of Sofia, the press center of the Ministry of Interior has reported. The fire that broke out yesterday near the settlements has spread over a large area.
Eleven fire engines are involved in extinguishing the flames; a helicopter will also be used. 50 volunteers, 10 forestry officials and 32 military personnel help the firefighters.
