A candidate for mayor of Kyustendil cannot vote for himself because he is registered at a current address abroad, the Municipal Administration told BNR.

Finance Minister Assen Vassilev failed to vote in the local elections in his hometown of Haskovo. The reason – he has been deleted from the electoral rolls, as he does not meet the requirements for 6 months of residence. According to the authorities data since 2000 Vassilev has had an address registration in the USA.

In six villages of the municipality of Balchik, there is one candidate for the mayor's chair each - Bobovets, Dropla, Strazhitsa, Kremena, Lyahovo, Tsarichino. Even without competition, a second round is possible in these settlements, commented the spokesperson of the Balchik Municipal Electoral Commission Iliyana Ilieva, when most of the voters marked "I do not support anyone". If such a result is achieved in the run-off too, new elections are scheduled.

People organized by a certain political force in the municipality of Dragoman watched from their cars those entering and leaving some of the polling stations, disturbing the voters and raising doubts about a controlled vote. After the intervention of the police, the uninvited "observers" withdrew, announced the chairman of the Municipal Election Commission, Ivo Milanov.
