Voter turnout in the country by 4.00 pm. was 34.16%, CEC spokeswoman Rositsa Mateva announced at a briefing. The highest voter turnout was in the village of Chelopech near Sofia - 75.15%, and the lowest in Dobrich - 23.18%.

In several mayorships, for example in the village of Varbeshnitsa (Mezdra municipality), the village of Poroina (Parvomay municipality), the village of Lozevo (Shumen municipality), the ballots have run out and are being photocopied, while protocols are being drawn up by the members of the Regional Election Committees. This happened because fewer ballots were claimed.

The Central Election Commission has given instructions on how to photocopy the paper ballots, Mateva added.
