Voting machines for run-off elections already being prepared

Minister of E-Government Alexander Yolovski said that he had launched a procedure for the certification of voting machines for the second round of local elections. Certification teams will work overtime.

Today, Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairwoman Kamelia Neykova announced that, in accordance with the rulings of the Supreme Administrative Court, a procedure for the certification of voting machines is necessary for the holding of the second round of the local elections on 5 November with machine voting. The CEC insisted that the 29 October decision by the commission to use only paper ballots was legal.
