"We have to prove that, in addition to winning elections, we can also govern with dignity and transparency," Vasil Terziev, nominated by PP-DB and "Save Sofia", said after the results of the local elections showed that he is the new mayor of Sofia.

Terziev vowed to lead a very active fight against corruption, abuses and clientelism, "in order to make it clear that the money of the people in Sofia goes where it is intended to", and added he would work for the interests of all the citizens of Sofia, including those who did not support him.
