A peaceful march is organized in the center of Sofia at noon on November 7, as a sign of solidarity and support for the campaign aimed to release the Israeli hostages kidnapped by Hamas.

On Monday evening, a commemorative ceremony was held in the Sofia Synagogue in memory of those who died in the terrorist attack in Israel on October 7. The speaker of parliament, the vice president, the mayor of Sofia, ministers, diplomats and citizens participated in the event.

Vice President Iliana Iotova said that we should never get used to violence and that terrorists, wherever they are in the world, would face firm and very decisive response. She pointed out that she is a proud representative of a nation that  protected its Jews 80 years ago and managed to save 50,000 people.

"We clearly state that we stand side by side with our brothers from the State of Israel, we support their just cause and their right to defend themselves, their homes and their homeland," Speaker of the National Assembly, Rosen Zhelyazkov, said in his speech, BTA reports.
