Police conduct search in home of driver who killed a football coach in car accident

Police officers searched the home of 24-year-old Nacho Panteleev in the town of Lyaskovets. Panteleev killed famous Bulgarian football coach Ferrario Spassov in an accident on Saturday and was released from custody on the lightest measure - "signature".

The reason for the nighttime police operation was a photo with a gun on social networks. However, the investigation found that the weapon did not belong to the person who caused the accident. Another image shows Nacho Pantaleev driving his luxury car at 268 km per hour.

In addition to being released from custody, the man does not have his license revoked and is not prohibited from leaving the country. This is the reason why acting chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov has called the prosecutor from Veliko Tarnovo Yordan Kozhuharov today for an explanation.

The investigation was transferred from the Veliko Tarnovo Prosecution Service to the Lovech Prosecution Service. Pantaleev's driving licence was confiscated today when he appeared at Veliko Tarnovo police station with his lawyer, and he was banned from leaving the country. The work of the Veliko Tarnovo Prosecutor's Office over the last three years will be reviewed.
