A Bulgarian Christmas tree has once again been decorated at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago as part of the museum's 80th traditional Christmas Around the World initiative. The museum is the largest science museum in the western hemisphere, reports eurochicago.com. The museum's traditional "Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light" exhibit features a giant, floor-to-ceiling tree flanked by nearly 60 smaller trees decorated with handmade ornaments by volunteers, representing holiday traditions and cultures from around the world. One of the trees is the Bulgarian Christmas tree. The first Bulgarian participation in the history of these holidays at the museum will be in 2012, when the ensemble "Khoro" will delight the audience with a performance charged with the magic of Bulgarian folk dances and the beauty of Bulgarian national costumes.
