Composer of some of the most tender melodies in modern Bulgarian pop music, Momchil Kolev, celebrates his birthday today. We owe him a number of hits from the end of the 20th century to the present day performed by artists such as Irina Florin, Sophia, Rushi Vidinliev and many others.

Momchil Kolev gained the greatest popularity in a duet with Dobrin Vekilov – Doni in the 90s.

Recently, Momchil Kolev returned with a new song - "In the Embrace of a Cloud". In it, in addition to being a composer, we hear him again as a singer - something that has not happened since 1998 when he and Doni released their last album.

The new song brings us the beautiful melodic messages of Momchil Kolev, dressed in the words of poet Elitsa Getova. Recently, Momchil has been working with his son - Kaloyan Kolev, who is the author of the arrangement.

"He somehow manages to understand me and do things that are close to my soul. I am no longer one of the 'modern' authors, as my spirit remained somewhere in the late 90s and early 2000s, but my son helps me to be up-to-date and to sound modern, for which I am infinitely grateful," Momchil Kolev says.
