The Bulgarian mountain rescue service informs about bad conditions for tourism in the mountains. Almost everywhere there is already a few centimeters of snow cover.

The temperatures are below zero, the wind is strong and it is snowing. Because of the thick fog, visibility is reduced and the paths are slippery, mountain rescuers warn.

According to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, cloudy weather will prevail over the mountains today in many places with precipitation mainly from snow.

A strong and gusty north-northwest wind will blow during the day and there will be blizzard conditions. The maximum temperature at a height of 1,200 m will be around minus 2°C, at 2,000 m - around minus 8°C.
