Code red for dangerous weather in four Bulgarian regions

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has declared code red for dangerous weather over snowfalls and stormy winds in four regions in northeastern Bulgaria - Razgrad, Shumen, Silistra and Dobrich, BGNES reports.

Code orange for stormy winds and precipitation was declared in seven regions in the northern and eastern parts of the country- Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Targovishte, Varna, Burgas, Yambol and Sliven.

In the mountainous areas there is a danger of the formation of snowdrifts. Strong and stormy winds are expected in some areas in northern and western Bulgaria.

Today, the precipitation, which has created a difficult situation throughout the country, will gradually stop.
