GERB leader Boyko Borissov took a stand against the possible sale of farmland from the State Land Fund. He stated that no discussions have so far been conducted by We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria (PP/DB) with GERB on the matter. Borissov was adamant that fertile lands must not be sold. The Association of Agricultural Producers also took a firm stand against the possible sale of 20% of the state-owned agricultural land, in an interview with BNR-Varna.
Earlier, media publications appeared, according to which, there were plans to sell one-fifth of the Fund land within the frameworks of the budget for 2024.
