The financing and the construction of Hemus motorway will be speeded up in 2024, said Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov in Shumen after meeting with Shumen mayor Hristo Hristov.

“Hemus motorway will be intensified significantly next year along several lots for which there is technical preparedness. What continues to be a problem is that for Lots 7 and 8 we do not have the technical documentation yet… But everything that does have documentation, including Lot 9, will be speeded up in terms of financing and construction,” PM Denkov said, and added that in 2024 there will be financing for the preparation of projects for the construction of express roads in all directions in the Southeast – Shumen, Silistra, Ruse, Razgrad and Varna. The projects will be prepared during the year, after which construction work will begin, Nikolai Denkov stated.
