The snow cover in Bulgaria's Pamporovo ski resort is about 20 cm and the snowfall continues, reported the Mountain Rescue Service.

The minimum temperature measured on the morning of December 8 under Mount Rozhen is -6 Celsius. If the low temperatures persist, snow cannons are planned to be turned on in the coming days. The resort is full of groups of university students celebrating the Students' Day on December 8.

The opening day of the ski season in Pamporovo has not yet been specified, but with favourable weather conditions, it is expected to happen at the end of next week.

Early bookings show increased interest from tourists and skiers compared to last year. There is an increase in bookings among British, Irish, Balkan and Bulgarian tourists.
