The leader of GERB, Boyko Borissov, had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán. They discussed the topic of admission of Bulgaria to Schengen.

Borissov assured Orban that the country meets all the requirements for entering the common space. "I also reminded him of our joint inspection along the Bulgarian-Turkish border, when he personally made sure that we guard the external border of the EU according to all Schengen standards. I also recalled the conclusions of the European Commission and the European Parliament that Bulgaria has fulfilled all the criteria for membership by land, air and sea," Borissov announced on Facebook.

He also informed Orban of the consensus reached with the leaders of the parliamentary majority to abolish the additional fee on gas transmission. "Together with Orban, we once again pointed out the extremely friendly relations between our two nations. We also united around the conclusion that all differences can be overcome through dialogue and mutual trust," Borisov adds.
