The Council of Ministers endorsed a decision on approving a bill on amendments to the Bulgarian citizenship act, by force of which the conditions for the acquisition of Bulgarian citizenship by persons of Bulgarian origin, and of persons with a parent with acquired Bulgarian citizenship, are supplemented, with proficiency in the Bulgarian language now a mandatory condition.
