Traffic to Romania, Greece and Turkey is intense

Photo: BGNES-archive

At the border with Romania, traffic is intense at the border crossings Kardam, Nikopol and Ruse for outbound trucks. The Oryahovo - Becket ferry is temporarily non-operational due to strong winds. Traffic is reduced to one lane in a section of the Ruse-Giurgiu bridge due to repair works.

At the Bulgaria-Greece border, traffic is heavy at the Kulata checkpoint for inbound trucks. Traffic at the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad checkpoints is open for cars and vans only. On the border with Turkiye, traffic is intense at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing for outbound vehicles. Traffic at the Bulgaria-Serbia and Bulgaria-North Macedonia borders is normal. The repair works at the Kalotina border crossing continue. Travelers should anticipate temporary lane reductions and traffic reorganization.
