No additional conditions have been set for Bulgaria to join Schengen by air and sea in March, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said. Together with Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel, Nikolay Denkov attended a meeting with GERB leader Boyko Borissov, Finance Minister Assen Vassilev, Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov and representatives of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Parliamentary Committee on the European Union Affairs, the Schengen Area and the Euro Area.

Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy Chairman and GERB leader Boyko Borissov said that the entry into Schengen by air and sea is a success that would have been impossible without the majority in parliament. Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov recalled that Austria itself had joined Schengen in two phases. ‘'What we have been negotiating in recent weeks is how to formulate the decision on land borders. We do not expect Austria to change its position on accepting Bulgaria by air and sea, because if it changes its attitude to what it has already accepted, it means that we are entering a completely different discussion. I do not expect this to happen', said Premier Denkov.
