Temperatures above zero are in the weather forecast for January 1

On New Year's Eve the weather will be mostly clear and calm over the northwestern part of the country. There will be significant clouds over the rest of the country. There will be light to moderate southerly and southeasterly wind. Temperatures at midnight will be between 2°C and 7°C, in Sofia - about 2°C. Broken cloudiness is in the forecast for Monday, January 1. There will be light to moderate southerly and southwesterly wind. Maximum temperatures will range from 9°C to 14°C, for Sofia around 9°C.

Over the mountains there will be broken cloudiness, more significant over the Strandzha and Sakar mountains. There will be moderate to strong westerly and southwesterly wind, which will turn from the west-northwest by evening. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters – around 8°C, at 2,000 meters- around minus 1°C.

Over the Black Sea coast, the cloudiness will be significant. There will be low visibility in the morning hours. There will be moderate southerly and southeasterly wins, which will turn from the southwest by evening. Daytime highs will reach 12°C-15°C. The seawater temperature is 9°C-10°C. Sea swell- 1-2.
