With the largest national stand of 300 square meters, Bulgaria is taking part at the most prestigious tourist exhibition in Romania. The event is being held for the 49th time at Romexpo, Bucharest's largest exhibition centre. Participating from Bulgaria are 30 tourist companies and 4 municipalities - Kyustendil, Varna, Kavarna and Gabrovo.

In addition to the gorgeous flower bouquets, multimedia displays with landscapes and landmarks from Bulgaria, as well as brochures with offers and information on various types of tourism, Bulgaria's stand also attracts the attention of the exhibition visitors with technologies and innovations, Iulia Bahovski from the Romanian-language section of Radio Bulgaria reports.

One of the first visitors to the Bulgarian stand in Bucharest were the ambassador of Bulgaria Radko Vlaykov and Ivaylo Marinov, economic and trade advisor in the Bulgarian diplomatic representation.

"Bulgaria is an increasingly popular and attractive tourist destination for Romanian tourists, whether they choose Bulgaria for a weekend or a vacation, while offering accommodation and sightseeing options for Romanians transiting to or from Greece," our representatives pointed out.

During the exhibition, Ambassador Vlaykov also announced the good news that Bulgaria would soon have a permanent representative for the tourism sector in Bucharest.

"Our culture is very well accepted here, and the Romanian culture is highly valued in Bulgaria," the ambassador said and announced that several cultural initiatives are being prepared, one of which is a joint concert by the children's choirs of Radio Romania and the Bulgarian National Radio.

Seven tourism companies and municipal administrations are also representing our country at the international exhibition "Tourism & Travel Expo" in Chisinau, Moldova.

Until Sunday, February 18, inclusive, visitors to the fair can familiarize themselves with the possibilities both for family vacations during the summer season in Bulgaria and for year-round tourism. Bulgaria is represented at an information stand of 100 square metres.
