Dozens of citizens, among them Russians living in Varna, gathered for a silent vigil in memory of Alexei Navalny in front of the entrance to the Sea Garden. They carried posters "He did not surrender and we will not surrender", "Alexei Navalny died for our freedom and yours", as well as drawings of the Russian president with the inscription "Putin - murderer". Among the people who placed flowers next to the photos of the opposition leader and lit candles were municipal councilors from "Yes, Bulgaria" and DSB.

"Like all normal people, I think that there was a murder of a person who was the hope of many people in Russia. Even for those who no longer live there", declared the Russian Polina, who has been living in our country for 10 years.

"I want to oppose this authoritarian regime, these senseless killings. When Russia loses the war, then there may be a greater chance for something to change," said Varna municipal councilor Mikhail Lukov.
