Seven new destinations enter the list of 100 National Tourist Sites

The Bishop’s Basilica of Philippopolis and the Late Antiquity building "Eirene" in Plovdiv are now part of the 100 National Tourist Sites in Bulgaria. This decision was made by the Coordination Council of the National Tourist Movement "Discover Bulgaria - 100 National Tourist Sites’’. 

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Culture Krastyo Krastev, Deputy Minister of Tourism Irena Georgieva and the Chairman of the Bulgarian Tourist Union Ventsislav Venev. Fourteen nominations were considered, and seven of them were approved. Among them are the Sofia Synagogue, the Historical Museum in Strelcha, the National Astronomical Observator- Rozhen, the Museum of the Rhodope Karst in Chepelare, the Dimum  Ancient Customs of Moesia near the Belene labour camp, and the Historical Museum of Sevlievo with the Hotalich Fortress.
