On Saturday evening, hundreds of people gathered for a demonstration in Sofia entitled "Ukraine: Two years of struggle for life, freedom and democracy! Two years TOGETHER and to the victory of Ukraine".
The citizens carried placards reading ''Glory to the heroes of Ukraine" and "EU NATO Glory to Ukraine". They observed a minute of silence to honour the victims. Representatives of Ukrainian organizations thanked Bulgaria for accepting thousands of mothers with children who fled the war and called on the government to provide prompt and adequate assistance to the Ukrainian army.
‘’Over these two years, Ukraine showed the whole world that evil can and must be resisted because love for the homeland and the pursuit of independence give tremendous strength even to small countries and peoples", said the civil movement BOETS, the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Bulgaria "Mati Ukraine'' and the Educational and Integration Center "Ukrainian Vulik".
