49.9% of Bulgarians do not expect the war in Ukraine to end this year and 30.7% are of the opposite opinion. The rest are undecided, shows a survey conducted by Gallup International between February 1 and 9. The survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with tablets and was commissioned by BNT.

Supporters of the opposition are rather sceptical that the war will end in 2024. Supporters of the ruling parties are more optimistic. 43% of the supporters of GERB-SDS answered that they rather expect the war to end this year, while only 15.4% of the voters of "There is Such a People" party expect the war to end in 2024.

People aged between 18 and 25, as well as groups with lower educational levels and more limited access to information have difficulty forming an opinion on the issue, the polling agency said.
