The Bulgarian Embassy in Washington organised an event with the special participation of investigative journalist Christo Grozev, at which the documentary "Navalny" was screened, the embassy said. In 2023, Christo Grozev and the team behind "Navalny" won the Oscar award for documentary feature film.

The event commemorating the Russian opposition leader brought together ambassadors from European Union and NATO member states, diplomats, presidential administration representatives and leading think tanks in Washington. State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary Sonata Coulter was also among the guests.

Christo Grozev and his team will investigate Navalny's death in search of answers about the circumstances of the opposition leader's tragic end.
