"Proportionally, Bulgaria is one of the countries that gives the most aid to Ukraine. We have provided Ukraine with more than 7 000 tonnes of material, mainly ammunition, tens of thousands of large-calibre ammunition, millions of rounds of ammunition and many other things," Tagarev said.

One argument for GERB's demand for Tagarev's resignation is the delay in sending the armoured personnel carriers promised by Bulgaria to Ukraine. "It is prestigious in the Euro-Atlantic community to help Ukraine, and perhaps there is a struggle here about who contributes most to this prestige.
