The State Laboratory for Pesticide Testing started work today at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP on the border with Turkey.

It was inaugurated in the presence of Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov and Agriculture Minister Kiril Vatev. Among the official guests were the Consul General of Turkey in Plovdiv, Korhan Kungeru, and the Chief Executive Officer of the International Transporters Association (UND), Alper Özel.

"Today we are taking a decisive step to return control of our borders to the state," said the Prime Minister. He added that the government is doing its utmost to ensure that the border is secured in accordance with the best European and global standards.

"Trucks that have been waiting at the border for two days will now only wait the necessary technological time for the samples to come out, which is about 5-6 hours," Vatev said.
