For the fourth year in a row, Niagara Falls was illuminated in the colors of the Bulgarian national flag in honour of Bulgaria's National Day on March 3. At 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, the water cascade lit up alternately in white, green and red light.

Over 200 Bulgarian nationals living in the province of Ontario arrived around the Canadian part of Niagara Falls to celebrate the 146th anniversary of the Liberation of Bulgaria.

"This year, the colors were not arranged as in the tricolor, as we are used to, but were presented consecutively - white, green and red light. This confused all of us at first, but despite this, the mood among the Bulgarian community was great", said the Bulgarian Consul General in Canada, Velislava Panova, who gave the idea for the light spectacle.
