The national council of GERB party gave a mandate for negotiations with PP-DB for a coalition agreement within the framework of the 49th National Assembly. GERB proposed a mechanism for harmonizing governance decisions with the draft agreement with PP-DB.

The formed negotiating team is entirely female - Mariya Gabriel, Temenuzka Petkova, Raya Nazaryan and Denitsa Sacheva.

"If we have not reached an agreement with the PP-DB by March 8, we will go to elections," GERB leader Boyko Borisov said a few days ago.

Highlights of the proposal are the demand for equally shared responsibility for government decision between the GERB-SDS and PP-DB coalitions, as well as for the rotations in the government after the upcoming one to be awt 15 months instead of 9.

The division of ministries between GERB-SDS and PP-DB, as well as the composition of the regulatory authorities is also examined.

The GERB-SDS also propose that the government's priorities should be the preparation of a new common legislative program, the implementation of a policy for the modernization of Bulgaria, the finalization of the process of accepting Bulgaria into Schengen by land, and following the European and Euro-Atlantic path of development.
